Due to the lack of regulation relating to breeding dogs and cats just about anyone can put two dogs together and call themselves a “breeder”. It appears that some back yard breeders and puppy farmers are making tax free money by not declaring the income they receive from selling the puppies and kittens they breed. We suggest that if you become aware of people avoiding tax or receiving tax free income due to sales of puppies, kittens, cats or dogs please report them to the relevant authorities.
